The Government-Medical-Media Complex

life May 05, 2021

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”

Dwight D. Eisenhower
34th President of the United States
Departure address
January 17, 1961

What Eisenhower makes clear, albeit by inference, is that it is the balance of powers that makes democracy possible. Fundamental to the US Constitution is the balance of powers between the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches of government. Likewise, the balance of powers between the state and federal government.

As it stands, Democracy has actually devolved into Corporatocracy, with the Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court. Wrestling the power of giant corporations’ self-interest, as well as that of their first cousins, the multi-billionaires, away from them to the benefit of all the people is going to be a daunting challenge. The root cause is that the balance of powers has been upset.

It is a given in this world that there will always be those, who once addicted to power, will do anything and everything they can to protect that power and accumulate more of it. Protecting the balance of power requires eternal vigilance in a free society.

Today, we have a new danger to the balance of powers, which I call the Government-Medical-Media Complex.

Let’s pick this apart.

First of all, the COVID pandemic has unleashed great fear in the population. In all fairness to government, they are trying to respond responsibly to the collective fear of the populace, which is both reasonable and expected by the governed.

There are two problems with this. First is the medical system, second is that the top of the bell curve, the bulk of the populace, has been conditioned to place far too much trust in medicine.

The first misconception people suffer from when they think about medicine is that it’s about science.

Yes, science informs medicine, but the vast majority of science research will never show up in a doctor’s office. The reason is simple.

Medicine is a business. Richard Nixon signed the law that allowed medical institutions to be for-profit companies. Today, just under eighteen cents of every dollar that changes hands in the US, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year winds up in the medical system.

Doctors have no interest in science that will cost them business even if it would benefit their patients.

Hospitals schedule treatment not based on how long it will take to implement a cure, but how many days insurance will pay for. If you are better in a day but insurance will pay for four days, “We need to keep you for further observation.” If you are still unwell after four days, if they can’t negotiate more time from the insurance company, home you go anyway.

In other words, in a business, revenue and profit are the priorities. In medicine, patient well-being isn’t really on the priority list. A related problem is that in medicine, the only outcome they consider is existence. How much pain you suffer or even if you are capable of sustaining life without mechanical support is considered irrelevant. Whether or not you continue to exist is the only and ultimate criterion.

I told my wife when the pandemic first reared its ugly head, “This will make the California Gold Rush look like pocket change.” And sure enough billions are funneling into Big Pharma, and it seems no one is blinking an eye or even asking questions.

The other fundamental problem with the “healthcare” system is that they know virtually nothing about health. However, it’s worse than that.

Healthy people are bad for business.

The medical system is fundamentally reactive. When a symptom shows up, they shift into gear.

The problem is that their focus is on making the symptom go away. In all fairness, we have the medical system we have asked for. When we have symptoms, we don’t want to have to change our lives, lose weight, exercise more, eat only natural and organic food. We just want our symptoms gone.

The result is that our medical system gives us what we want, particularly since if we all got healthy, most of them would have to find a different line of work.

The true problem is this. Symptoms, be they physical, environmental, organizational, relational, you name it, are only pointers whose sole function is to draw our attention to underlying root causes that are not immediately visible.

Following symptoms to the root causes is what opens us to the possibility of health in every dimension of our lives.

Collectively, however, we have a problem. Government is about listening to and responding to the top of the bell curve, that largest chunk of the populace who, particularly in a crisis situation, demands that the government do something, anything to protect them.

And the medical system is happy to oblige.

What few people realize, because they don’t want to hear it, is that the COVID vaccines reprogram the immune system to produce antibodies to the primary COVID virus.

There are two problems with this. First, the virus adapts by creating new versions of itself, which the antibodies our cells have been programmed to produce may not disarm and second, the vaccine antibodies have higher affinity for a new viral variant than our natural antibodies, but are not strong enough to neutralize it, to the virus “escapes” the immune system.

All this means that the vaccinated are at far greater risk both short and long term from viral attack either from COVID variants or whatever other viruses show up in the world as they inevitably do.

What few people understand is that viruses are how the genomes of all species are updated in response to changes in the ecosystem. Each of us carries 400 trillion viruses around in our bodies.

The balance of power shift however is that at the prompting of medicine, entire nations have been shut down, individuals sequestered, and questionable vaccines injected into their bodies. And Media has been completely complicit in this, ignoring the warnings from highly qualified scientists.

This is a virtually unprecedented usurpation of power on behalf of government at the demand of medicine with the support of media. The truth is that human immune systems are strengthened, not weakened by interacting with others.

The question we should all be asking is not “how can we get the medical system to bail us out”, which they are happy to do for a multi-billion dollar price tag, but “how do we strengthen our astonishingly powerful innate immune system?”

Junk food, obesity, and bad lifestyle habits are not the way or the answer.

It is also true that COVID takes out people whose health is already compromised, both elderly and young. This is the nature of viruses and the nature of living.

Which brings us to the spiritual dimension of the pandemic, for lack of a better term.

In the early 70s, I read a book Journeys Out of the Body by Robert A. Monroe. The book describes his experience of dying in the hospital, what he experienced as he left his body, and his return to and restoring his body to life. It’s a compelling story which raises important questions about what we have been taught about life and death.

Monroe went on to build a significant institute for the study of human consciousness.

With the advent of the internet, now we have direct access to literally thousands of such experiences and reports. And while each individual’s experience is different, the commonality of the themes are astonishingly consistent.

The conclusion we can draw is this.

What we have learned about heaven and hell is true. What is not true is that we are in both, right here, right now. We are surrounded by the miracles of Heaven everywhere we look. We are also surrounded by the tortures of Hell everywhere we look.

Because we do not understand this, all the hand wringing we go through when someone in our lives leaves their body, our whole concern is ourselves, what we have lost as a result of the person’s departure.

What we should be doing is celebrating our loved one’s release from the prison of this world into the love and safety everyone describes who has left their body and returned to share with us.

Our responsibility is to grow our own hearts so that we live fully in the richness of the heaven that surrounds us and frees us from dependence on others for our happiness and fulfillment.

Today, COVID is reminding us of this, but every pandemic, every war, every act of violence we hear on the news reminds us of our responsibility for spiritual growth that cannot be abdicated or delegated and is ours alone.

In the meantime, the Government-Medical-Media Complex has unethically and unlawfully upset the balance of powers worldwide. Facebook has started flagging posts as false that even raise the question as to whether or not global vaccination is a good idea.

The good news is that there is a small but dedicated international army of lawyers challenging this unholy alliance on every national front.

We the people have a choice. We can let fear sit in the driver’s seat of our lives, or we can learn from this event even though it pokes at some of our deepest and closely held fantasies of what is real.

One thing is clear. We have opened pandora’s box with this unholy alliance of Government and Medicine. It has virtually unlimited power and resources ,and will not surrender its new-found power without a fight.

We are all paying the tuition in this global event. The only thing that matters is whether or not we absorb the education this event can provide us, and which will give us the powers we need to protect our autonomy.
